Attourny for HireI tugged my hair one last time
before checking the mirror. The two French braids, gelled to ensure that no
hairs would stray, wrapped around my head and ended at the base of the pony
tail. The ponytail gave a slight impression of a peacock, with an array of
shorter hairs fanning out at the base, and brushed my belt with its tip. The two
rebel tufts dipped in my vision and I batted at them mildly. They were stiff
with the gel that had failed to hold them in the braids.
A tiny bell chimed. I turned to
look at the door. The letter slot ¾ of the way down was swinging back and forth
with the passage of the note, which was now lying on the floor. Curious I
stepped out of the bathroom and collected the note.

Infirmary Cleanup Emily sighed as she picked up a box of empty vials. She grunted as the box clattered loudly and teetered dangerously in her arms. In lieu of better things to do, Emily had decided to help clean up the Infirmary. The only problem with this idea was that Emily was the only one cleaning at the moment.
After placing the box alongside the 14 others she had unearthed, Emily surveyed the room. The sight was disheartening at best.
She had been working in the same room for the past 3 hours, lifting boxes of moldy rags and rotten medicine, collecting several pounds of stray paper, yanking gurneys out of sludge and painstakingly sorting through the supplies, but had yet to dent the mess surrounding her. The disaster that was the infirmary continued.
