Description
Hyrule Warriors sits in a funny place in my head. As a gamer, I love it. As an artist, I frequently find myself hating it. (As a zelda fan, I'm hot then cold)
One of my biggest beefs is the character design. So I decided to make my own redesigns for some of the characters.
I am aware of all the work that goes into making games and that, if the creators had gone in this direction, these redesigns would have created an astronomical amount of extra work. There has to be a line drawn between good design and practicality.
Design: Zelda and the Light Rapier
This weapon is closely affiliated with Farore and is the most balanced of Zelda's weapons. It allows for good mobility and has a decent defense. This weapon also has a close to mid-range reach.
For this design I mixed several of incarnations together. Four Swords brought in the ponytail and the bow-like head thingie. A Link to the Past donated some ornamentation and a cape. Ocarina of Time donated the dress style and coloring.
The Rapier no longer turns into a bow. Instead, Zelda can summon up to three light orbs to use as fuel for strong melee attacks or projectiles for enemies just out of her blade's reach.
Tier 1: Fencer
Tier 2: Duelist
Tier 3: LightBlade
