Thumbelina

Every morning at sunrise and every evening at sunset, she would slip outside the door, and when the wind blew the ears of wheat apart so that she could see the blue sky, she though how bright and lovely it was out here and longed to see her old friend the swallow again. But the swallow did no come back.
